How to: get the latitude and longitude of a place

I embed a map to a website but I wanted to have a specific location when the page was loaded when the default view was the world map. To change this feature, you need the latitude and longitude of a specific location and zoom the page in this particular area.

Latlong.net is an online geographic tool that gets the latitude and longitude of a place using a city’s/ town’s or special places name.

For this example, I looked for ‘The Bullring’ in ‘Birmingham’:

Paste this information and add a zoom number into your Javascript code or website to focus the map on a particular point:

Do you have any other examples? Let me know in the comments
